Moving Tip of the Week: Scheduling Your Movers

The official moving season of 2016 is here, and it's important to know when to schedule your Sydha Logistix.  Through the peak moving season, it is important to schedule your movers with as much advanced notice as you can give to guarantee a reservation.

If you’re planning to move within the first 7 days or last 7 days of the month, Sydha Logistix recommends making those reservations as quickly as possible, and in some cases, as far as a month in advance!  Those dates are always the most widely requested from our customers, and most apartment leases end within those first and last 7 days, leading to a higher volume of moving requests. 

Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are the next quickest dates to book up, and are popular moving dates for families with children, or those who have a Monday through Friday work schedule.  We recommend 3 weeks’ notice if you're looking at a weekend move.

For all other dates throughout the peak moving season, our Sydha Logistix recommend scheduling your moving services no later than two weeks out.  That's not to say those dates won't be available if you request a moving reservation, but we cannot guarantee availability or specific times if you don't.

It's also important to schedule your rental moving truck or mobile storage unit as soon as possible.  Whether it's U-Haul, Penske, Budget, ABF, PODS, PACKRAT, or UNITS, scheduling ahead of time will lead to a smother move on your moving day.
